AliveTek Earns AFA’s Excellence in Educational Programming Award for Third Year in a Row

Tampa, FL, December 1, 2023 — For the third year in a row, Prevent.Zone by AliveTek, Inc. has won the prestigious Association of Fraternity & Sorority Advisors (AFA) Excellence in Educational Programming Award. This year, the award recognizes the Decisions: Alcohol Awareness & Education™ program.

Each year, AFA recognizes outstanding contributions by its members. The AFA Excellence in Educational Programming Award recognizes new and innovative programs in learning or education that have demonstrated program effectiveness and a high level of student engagement.

According to the CDC, there are approximately 2,000 alcohol related deaths annually among college students in the U.S. The Decisions online course is designed to help college students make better decisions related to alcohol. The experience helps students to be more discerning when they or their friends are drinking. It also educates them to recognize alcohol’s effects and how and when to take action that may save a life. The course addresses expectations, motivations, and environmental impacts, along with how to understand blood alcohol content (BAC), as well as early intervention. Prevent.Zone tailors the content to include client organizations' policies, resources, and local/state laws for a personalized learning experience.
